The Mk III also has settings for applying corrections to JPEG images.

In this screen, automatic sensor cleaning can be turned on or off.

Manual sensor cleaning. The shutter opens, you clean the camera, and when you turn the camera off, the shutter closes.

Because of the start-up delay, all photojournalists will disable automatic sensor cleaning. If required, the Clean Now function can be activated.

Flash settings can now be adjusted through the camera.

Also, personal settings for flash operation can be set.

This function is used to turn the live view on or off. Using the OK button on the back, the display can be turned on.

The filename prefix can be changed, and also adapted to different users.

If you wish to remove dust specks from the image, a test shot must be taken first as a reference image.

This screen also shows when the reference shot was last taken.

The default metering mode in M mode can be set.

If you don’t need certain metering modes, you can always disable them.

Flash metering.

Using the new flash, light metering can be set to Highlight priority. This comes in very handy when photographing white subjects, in order to avoid overexposure.

10 frames per second is nothing to sneeze at, even if you're a machine gun.
