Canon EOS 1D MkIII - First impressions
13 June 2007 - Matjaz Intihar; Translated by: Joze Sveticic

As soon as the camera is turned on, ultrasonic sensor cleaning is activated. However, this takes two seconds. Since the Mk III is a photojournalist camera, this function can be turned off in the menu – two seconds are a lot of time if you're in a hurry.

The menus have changed. This will likely be the first thing that 1D series camera owners notice. However, they're easy to get used to and use. Because of the large screen, the text is easier to read.

In the screens above, all settings are shown.
