A few shots with a production Nikon D300

In November, NPS organised a sorto of a mini-fair in Vienna, Austria, called Nikon Solutions. In addition to the kind of Nikon gear that would induce uncontrollable salivation in even the most hardened Canon fanboy, there was loads of other gear by Hensel, ProFoto, HP, Wacom, Adobe, NicSoftware and Apple.

It was an interesting event, too. First of all, the two hottest new cameras - Nikon D3 and Nikon D300. Both cameras were already production samples, with the D300 having the serial number of 25. That's a fresh bleeping camera, ladies and gents.

In addition to the new cameras, there were also the new Nikkor VR lenses for those who need to have something huge and black in their lives. Nikkor 200 mm f/2 VR, Nikkor 400 mm f/2.8 VR and the grand daddy of them all, Nikkor 600 mm f/4 VR. For those without such needs, there were also the excellent zoom Nikkors, such as 14-24, 17-55, 24-70, 70-200 etc.

Actions seem to speak louder than any of this translator's sarcastic words ever could.

There were also two mobile studios, provided by Hensel and ProFoto, as well as four models, courtesy of the Slovenian gene pool.

There was also other stuff available - Apple computers, Adobe software and professional EIZO displays.

HP provided us with large format printers, while Wacom provided us with tablets. They might look funny, but they're better than mice for some purposes.
